How 41NailsBarByLucica looks after your personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

Who we are
41NailsBarByLucica is a nail salon at 41 Kentwell Road, Peterborough, PE7 8RD. We are the controller of the personal data described here, which means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it.

What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number, when you book, buy a gift voucher, create an account or contact us.
- Your bookings: treatments, dates and times, prices, offers or discounts used, and any notes you add.
- Notes we keep to look after you well, such as colours you like or treatment details. If you tell us about allergies or skin and nail conditions, we only note what's needed for a safe treatment, with your agreement.
- Payments: deposits and gift vouchers are paid on Stripe's secure page. We see that a payment was made and its amount, never your full card number.
- Gift vouchers: the buyer's details, and the name, email and message for the person receiving it.
- Messages you send us through the website or by email.
- Your choice about receiving offers by email, and the emails we have sent you.
Why we use it, and the law that allows it
- To take and manage your bookings, gift vouchers and account: this is needed for our agreement with you (contract).
- To send booking emails, reminders the day before, and to keep your treatment history so we can give you safe, consistent treatments: our legitimate interest in running the salon well.
- To send offers and news by email: only if you said yes (consent). You can stop them at any time.
- Health details such as allergies: only with your explicit consent, and only to keep you safe during treatments.
- To keep payment and booking records for tax and accounting: a legal obligation.
Offers and news
We only send offers by email if you ticked the box to receive them when booking or in your account. Every offer email has a link to stop them, or you can change your choice in your account or by contacting us. Booking emails and reminders about your own appointments are not offers and are always sent.
How long we keep it
- Your customer record and treatment notes: while you're our customer, and up to 2 years after your last visit. Then we delete them.
- Bookings and payment records: 6 years, as needed for tax. If you delete your account earlier, we keep these without your name and contact details.
- Gift vouchers: until they run out or expire, then 6 years for our accounts.
- Login codes: 15 minutes, and they work only once.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the data we hold about you (in your account: Download my data);
- have wrong details corrected;
- have your data deleted (in your account: Delete my account), except what we must keep by law;
- limit how we use it, or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a file you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example to offers by email.

Keeping it safe
The website uses an encrypted connection (https). Accounts use a one-time code sent to your email, so there are no passwords to steal. Only the salon can open the admin, which is protected by a password.
Children
Bookings for anyone under 16 should be made by a parent or guardian.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we use your data, please tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
